Floyd Mayweather Says Rematch With Manny Pacquiao Happening "This Year"

"Another 9 figure payday on the way," Mayweather wrote on Instagram.

Floyd Mayweather is promising a sequel to the "fight of the century."
The boxer on Saturday posted a video of himself and fellow boxer and onetime rival Manny Pacquiao, whom he defeated three years ago in a massively anticipated fight at Las Vegas' MGM Grand, with the caption, "I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year. Another 9 figure pay day on the way @mayweatherpromotions." The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Mayweather Promotions for comment.
The 2015 match between Mayweather and Pacquiao set a record for pay-per-view buys, with 4.6 million purchases. Showtime and HBO teamed to jointly produce and distribute the fight, which netted $418 million on pay-per-view alone. (Viewers paid either $89.95 or $99.95, for HD, to watch the fight.) It's reported that Mayweather and Pacquiao each earned at least $100 million from the bout, which lasted about an hour.
